Hi Michael, It looks like we have a connection, my husband's father was Ernest Barker born 1919, we think his mother was Freda Collinson, who married John J Barker, they had several chidren, John W born 1917, Ernest 1919, Harry 1921, Nancy 1924, Jenny 1930, and Albert C born 1933, unfortunately my husband never knew his father, his mother married Ernest Barker in 1934 and they had a daughter Maureen, my husband was born in September 1940, and his mother divorced Ernest in the early 40's. Hello Mike- Many thanks for your email (I had 3 blanks yesterday ).
Sorry I did mean 1885-22Jun in fact. Her death is recorded in the family bible as 23 Feb 1922 and not knowing her married name I have never found this death registered, I believe she had 2 children who were looked after by her brother Frank Thompson in Sheffield, unfortunately he appears to have been a "black sheep" and thus I know very little about him or the 2 girls.
I shall now try to contact the David Watson you mention.

Hello again- I have been in contact with David Watson in Australia-his Annie Thompson was born in Middleton, Co.Durham and died there in 1945. Back to the drawing board as they say Regards Peter Thompson.
